Overview
Job Hunter Sweden is a Telegram bot developed to simplify the process of finding employment opportunities in Sweden. The bot provides a guided search experience directly inside Telegram, allowing users to configure their preferred region, city, professional field and employment type. Users can also search by custom job titles or keywords, browse matching vacancies and save relevant positions to their favourites. The interface was designed around Telegram inline keyboards and structured messages, making the service accessible without requiring users to install a separate application or learn a complex interface. The bot also supports multiple languages, making it more convenient for international job seekers and users who are still adapting to the Swedish labour market.
Problem
Job seekers in Sweden often need to browse multiple employment websites, repeatedly configure similar filters and manually review large numbers of irrelevant vacancies. For international users, the process is even more difficult because of language barriers, unfamiliar regional structures and differences in Swedish job terminology. The project required a simple, fast and mobile-friendly solution that could centralise vacancy discovery and provide relevant results through an interface users already understand.
Solution
A custom Telegram bot was developed with a step-by-step search workflow. Users can select a work location, professional category and employment type through interactive Telegram buttons. They can also enter a job title or keyword manually and immediately receive matching vacancy results. The bot displays vacancy information in a compact format and supports pagination for large result sets. Users can open individual vacancies, navigate between result pages, save jobs to favourites and restart or adjust the search without leaving Telegram. A multilingual navigation structure and contextual help section were added to reduce friction for users unfamiliar with the service.
Result
The completed bot provides a centralised and easy-to-use job search experience for vacancies across Sweden. Users can move from an initial search to relevant job listings within a few interactions, without visiting multiple platforms or repeatedly entering the same filters. The modular bot architecture also provides a foundation for future functionality such as scheduled vacancy notifications, personalised recommendations, saved searches and automated daily updates.
